BOTW Music Training & Drill

 .

Weekly music instruction and rehearsal

Our Band Directors are esteemed professional musicians and respected music instructors in the SF Bay Area. They challenge our cadets & encourage them to learn and perform a wide range  of music while making the experience fun and rewarding.  They also train our cadets to be self-responsible when establishing good music habits and while practicing on own.

The BOTW music instruction team includes guest conductors, music clinicians and music librarians. Thanks to generous donations from the Captain Steven Gin Music Memorial Fund, the BOTW continues to build its music library representing a variety of styles of music including marches, military calls, American standards, big band, and jazz.

"The students in BOTW are always much more focused and disciplined than my average student. Additionally, they are outstanding leaders who take initiative to ensure the success of other students (without me having to ask them to do so). It is clear that they share a passion for music and the hard work that it takes to be successful in our craft. "

"I learned so much from the Pacific Fleet Band. Not only did I grow musically, but I learned how they organize to improve their overall sound and style. I have so many new ideas for my section back home. I'm excited to teach everyone else what I learned and use that knowledge to improve our band's appearance and sound."
